Boy Kills World began with an original concept developed by Ventaro Film founder and producer Reza Brojerdi, in close collaboration with screenwriter Arend Remmers.
From the very beginning, we believed in the potential of this unconventional story. We assembled the original creative team, including director Moritz Mohr, action director Dawid Szatarski, and a team of action and stunt specialists, and led the project’s early development.
To bring our vision to life, we independently financed and produced an ambitious proof-of-concept trailer. This allowed us to establish the film’s distinctive visual language, innovative action choreography and cinematic identity long before international production partners came on board.
The trailer attracted the attention of Hollywood producers, including Sam Raimi and Roy Lee, paving the way for an international collaboration.
Starring Bill Skarsgård, Boy Kills World premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023, followed by its theatrical release in 2024.
Ventaro Film co-produced Boy Kills World, with Reza Brojerdi serving as Executive Producer. From its earliest development through to its realization as an international feature, the project represents our commitment to original storytelling and independent filmmaking.
